Push Your Luck

Purrramid

Your grandma loves cats - but she's adopted so many that she can't keep track of the mischievous furballs who refuse to settle down at bedtime.

Your mission? Help Grandma stack the kittens into the purrr-fect pyramid so they can finally get some shuteye.

Roll dice, assign results to the board and decide: push your luck or play it safe? In this wacky, family-friendly game, you'll need a combination of wit, strategy, and a little bit of feline furrrtune to claim victory.

No Thanks!

The rules are simple. Each turn, players have two options:
play one of their chips to avoid picking up the current face-up card
pick up the face-up card (along with any chips that have already been played on that card) and turn over the next card
However, the choices aren't so easy as players compete to have the lowest score at the end of the game. The deck of cards is numbered from 3 to 35, with each card counting for a number of points equal to its face value. Runs of two or more cards only count as the lowest value in the run - but nine cards are removed from the deck before starting, so be careful looking for connectors. Each chip is worth -1 point, but they can be even more valuable by allowing you to avoid drawing that unwanted card.

The first versions of the game supported up to five players, but the German 2011 edition supports up to seven (simply by increasing the number of chips).

This game was originally published in Germany in 2004 by Amigo as Geschenkt ...ist noch zu teuer!, meaning Even given as a gift, it is still too expensive!. Amigo's 2006 international edition, titled No Merci! (a delightful multi-lingual pun), had rules in several languages, including English. The game has subsequently been released in other countries under an assortment of names. The German 2024 edition includes additional cards to allow for play with variant rules.

Goats & Goblins

Those pesky goats have escaped again and are now bleating for your help from inside a treacherous cave! You and your fellow goblin herders must go down and retrieve them, but you soon spot mysterious gold, precious gems, and lovely trinkets in the shafts below. New plan: the goblin who can retrieve the most treasure from the risky depths wins! But be careful - going too deep may cause too many Cave-Ins and force you to drop your treasure as you flee, leaving it unguarded for the saboteurs to take.

Goats and Goblins is a push-your-luck game where you will attempt to collect treasures, goats, and goblins from the mysterious cave before it collapses. You will take turns leading expeditions below the surface, inviting other players to join you or stay behind. If your mission is successful, the exploring members will gain valuable cards to divide. Failed expeditions will give cards to the players who did not explore the cave. Some cards can be played to support or hinder expeditions.

It’s game over when the Cave deck is gone or almost gone (less than 3 cards remain). When the game ends, count the gold on your unplayed cards. The goblin with the most gold wins.

Spooky Tower

In Spooky Tower, ghosts have escaped from the tower to invade the town.

For centuries, a powerful amulet has kept ghosts prisoner in the old clock tower. But today, the amulet shattered and the ghosts escaped! Invisible to the naked eye, the only way to trap the ghosts is by taking photos of them. At nighttime, explore the town with your camera. Capture the hidden ghosts or mend the amulet to restore the protection spell and save the town from terror.

On your turn, roll dice and, depending on the result, take one of these two actions:
take a card or flip your cards. Apply any revealed effects and check if you captured a ghost.
The first player to capture 5 Ghosts or collect 3 Amulet fragments wins the game!
